Mission:
The Coastal Croquet Clubs, an association of Croquet Clubs in the coastal Carolina area, mission is to foster the growth and enjoyment of the sport of croquet. This is being accomplished by the introduction of Croquet to the general public, participation in interclub activities, and by promotion of the USCA.
Emphasis:
The CCC has two major areas of emphasis. The first is primarily directed to novice and high handicap croquet players. This includes introduction of the USCA through National Croquet Day Celebrations, providing Rules & Referee Clinics, and sponsoring non-sanctioned tournaments. Monthly CCC interclub events involve several variations of Croquet play including 6-Wicket Croquet, 9-Wicket Croquet, 14 Point Croquet, Golf Croquet, Association Rules Croquet, Beach Croquet, etc.
The second area of emphasis is to provide opportunities for play in USCA sanctioned tournaments. It has sponsored numerous USCA Sanctioned member club tournaments and six Invitational Tournaments. The CCC hosted the USCA Southeast Regional Tournament in 2004, 2005 and 2008 and is scheduled to host the tournament in 2012.
